Table of contents

Hi,

Working with Index and Tables, the headings which are
listed (table of contents) have different font name and
font size (separately for heading1, heading2 etc.). How
can one control this particular feature individually? The
feature variation is attempted in almost every KNOWN ways
in vain.

After obtaining the desired style of list, can a template
be written out to standardise the same? If yes, how to?
