Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi. I'm a relative newcomer to Word for Mac (and an unschooled user of Word for PCs).
I'm trying to generate a TOC for an existing 26-page legal document. Heading 2 is a short phrase followed by a period. Paragraph follows. Example:
5.1. Taxes. Tenant shall have no responsibility for payment of any kind or portion of real property taxes or assessments with respect to the Premises or the real property upon which the Premises are situated.
When I select/highlight "5.1. Taxes" and assign it a style, the TOC captures the entire paragraph. Any way to exclude the following paragraph, aside from having every heading on a separate line from the paragraph?
Thanks.
