I have a large document I'm trying to open that contains a few
tables. When I open it; then the program just goes to the hourglass
wait stage and eventually says the errors below. Then Word 2000
closes.
I went all through the Microsoft knowledge database and it said at
some point the table problem was fixed in Word XP.
Yet I took it to a friends house with Word XP and the same thing
happens.
I want to recover the document but as soon as I put in the password
and press enter only the first page appears and I can't scroll or save
the document afterward.
This is the error "a table in this document has become corrupted. To
recover the contents of the table: select the table and choose Convert
Table to Text from the Table menu I Clicked "OK" in the error
box and get this error signature
"ERROR SIGNATURE" app name winword.exe app ver 9.0.0.8216 Mod
Name: mso9.dll Mod Ver: 9.0.0.6926 Offset: 00010ecc
I hope someone can tell me how to recover from this.
