table renaming

I see that this topic has come up a couple of times before, but the
answers given there aren't helping me.

Opening a project, I get
"There is a table named &Entry in this project which cannot be
overwritten.
Press OK to rename it, or press Cancel to cancel opening the project."
Same for Gaant Chart, same for table Entry.

I did follow the instructions in
http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/cantoverwriteo...

but ran up against a problem.

When I'm in the organizer in enterprise global to delete those views,
it automatically loads the view, or table, that I'm in, making it
impossible to delete them. For example, if I'm displaying the gannt
chart, that item moves over to the right hand column. When I try to
delete it (as I don't want it in enterprise or copying down to my
projects) I get this message:
the view "Gannt Chart" is in use and cannot be copied or deleted.
Switch views, then try again.
So, I switch views, for example to resource graph, delete the gannt
view, but then the resource graph has moved to the right hand column
and now I have to get rid of it!

what am I missing?

Thanks...Naomi

Naomi --

You are making a big mistake applying a non-enterprise View while you have
the Enterprise Global file open for editing. While you have the Enterprise
Global file open for editing, you should only apply enterprise Views, such
as the Enterprise Gantt Chart. To solve your problem, open the Enterprise
Global file, apply the Enterprise Gantt Chart view, and then use the
instructions to delete the non-enterprise Tables and Views. Hope this
helps.

I suggest that you apply the Enterprise Gantt BEFORE opening the global.
Otherwise you add to your problem before you begin.

Great Naomi! Meet you at Peter Luger's next Friday. You'll take care of the
reservation?
