Table sizing

How do you stop a table from resixing as you type.

I need to create a table to type in that has a max no of
characters that does not resize the table or hide some of
the text.

Maybe a table is not the right way> Poss frames / text
boxes etc.

Any help would be appreciated,

HI Mark,

If you set the dimensions of the cells to an exact figure, it won't stop you
from continuing to type, but it will limit what appears.

Table - Select table - Table properties
- Table options - Untick automatic sizing box;
- Columns - Tick preferred width box
(for all at once if you want same width for each column or separately).
