Table spanning over pages and converting to PDF

Hi

I am using Word 2000 and now XP. I have a table that spans over several
pages with the first row shaded black with text color set to automatic (shows
up white).

This row is also designated to repeat across pages.

When I convert to PDF (Adobe Acrobat 5.05) the header row on subsequent
pages (not the first) only shows the black shading, the white text does not
display.

I had this happen before and forgot how I fixed it. Does anyone have the
answer to this?
