table style in template

Diana Manlove

Created a custom table style based on table normal in a
created template. Template and files reside on network
shared drive. Pretty simple table: first row-_header is
Arial Black 11, subsequent rows are Times New Roman 10.
We all run Word 2002, windows 2000. When I open documents,
table is perfect. When other users open docs, the header
row is in Tahoma and the Table Style when opened on their
computer says the type style is Tahoma. We shut down and
reopen Word, tried reattaching template, no help. Is
there a setting somewhere on individual computers that is
overriding the font in the table. We are stumped. I've
spent several hours in on-line "Help" but haven't found
this addressed. Thanks for the help.

Diana,

Did you use inline styles when creating the document? It
would be a good idea to apply specific styles where you
want special formatting and fonts.

Remember, every user's normal.dot may not be the same.
Find the normal.dot file on the pc that is displaying the
table the way you want it. You can copy that normal.dot to
everyone's machine via email, where they can then save it
in the microsoft applications directory.
