Help! I desperately need my data for month end reports. It has to be a simple
command to fix this issue but I can't manage to figure it out. WHile working
on a simple table of data all of the sudden my page was like shades of light
gray horizontal strips. The information, text and numbers, is not faint or
blurred, perventing me from reading it. It flat out is not showing. Its a
blank page of lines on my table.
Can anyone help me please?

1. What version of Access?

2. Are you in a table, query, a form in datasheet view, or a report?

3. Have you tried shutting off the database and the computer then starting
it all back up?

4. Are there some little + and - signs in a box towards the left column? If
so what happens when you click on one of them?

5. Right click on the header of the table or query and select Datasheet
View. Does that help?

6. Click in a field of any record. Does that help?

Hi Jerry : )

Thank you for responding.

Its my computer at work and the best I could do to tell you what version I'm
working with is to say MS XP Professional and MS XP Small Biz is loaded on my
computer.

My issue is with a table. I have 2 tables. One is fine. The other messed up.
It was working with it just fine then all of the sudden this problem. I"m
guessing I inadvertently clicked something with my mouse or on the keyboard
that caused it to change to this mess. I can read the heading. Everything
else is just horizontal stripes.

I shut down, rebooted. Issue still present.

No little + or - signs towards left column.

Right click in heaader and datasheet view doesn't change the issue.

Clicking in any field of any record...or where my fields and records should
be...doesn't do anything. Still all the same.

I've tried my tool bar to see if there was some sort of command that I could
change or something to bring it back to normal, but no luck.

If you have any ideas I'd really appreciate your help! : )

My guess is that you resized the spreadsheet cells to near-zero height
(perhaps by inadvertantly grabbing the line between the rows and dragging it
up to the next row).

Try creating a Query based on the table. Can you view the data there?

Try clicking in grey selection bar to the left of the mess of lines. If you
get the "horizontal line handle" tool (a horizontal line with up and down
arrows at its center), drag it down a few millimeters. Does that help? If so,
close the table and say Yes to the prompt "Save the new layout of <table>" -
my guess is that you did so when you first resized it.

Hi John,

You nailed it. Thank you so much! It was as simple as shrinking my cells. I
knew it had to be something simple and silly that I did and wasn't seeing
what it was to un-do it! lol

I really appreicate your support.

Thanks again,

Renauda : )
