Table Will not open - Type Mismatch in Expression

B

Bill Wyld

When I try to open a table I receive an error message "Type Mismatch in
expression" followed by a notice that theTable cannot be opened in table
View.

Can anyone suggest what I should look for. I haven't made any changes to the
table design and if the problem is input, I don't know when it might have
happened.

I have a backup of the database but would prefer to try to fix the current
file if possible.

Check the Relationships window to see if a new relationship has
somehow been created, joining fields of different datatypes.

If that's not it, your database may be corrupted. Try Tools...
Database Utilities... Compact and Repair - and if this doesn't help,
try the suggestions at http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm
(Tony Toews' excellent corruption FAQ). If none of the suggestions
there work... congratulate yourself on your wisdom in keeping a
backup!
