Nails?! I suggest tools (chisel, plane, precision saw) for joints, who
if properly glued and clamped are much stronger.

Go to the database window, select Tables, and then select Create Table in
Design View, and open that selection. You then can add fields and set their
properties/formats/etc.

Save and close the table.
