In Word 2000 'Tables'
A table with two columns and four rows. (The table is more complicted than
this but for simplicity I will use the above to explain my problem).
Can I merge one column into three rows ???
Please explain in simple terms.

Thank you

Sort of.

What doesn't work: Merge four cells then split into three (Word gives you a
choice of two or four).

What does work: Split each of the four cells into three. Then select groups
of four cells and merge.
