tables and hyperlinks in word 2k

Hi All,

I have a simple web page that I created in ms word 2k. It is set up in a
table. I am now trying to update the page and when I try to put a new
hyperlink in the table it gives me a problem. I can put the text in but
when I try to put the link information in the information is visible. I
select the text and go to hyperlink using the context menu. Am I missing a
step? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,

I am not totally sure I understand your explanation correctly, but it sounds
as if you only need to toggle field codes. To do this, press Alt+F9.

Hyperlinks are fields and fields can be in two modes: they can show the
result, i.e. the content that will print, or they can show the code behind.
Alt+F9 toggles field codes on and off.

You can toggle the field codes of a single field by pressing Shift+F9 while
the selection is in the field.

Hi Lene,

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I think I solved the problem. I
just went to the line where I wanted the new link and instead of
highlighting it I just entered the information I wanted. this seems to
work.
