We have 3 computers on a LAN, one a Sales Call Recording Access database
(Phone is tied to computer with a modem interface) and two manager units that
are linked and share the files for salesperson performance review. After a
salesperson completes a sales call and clicks on finish, the link transfers
the files to the managers computers so they can view a call receipt and
listen to the audio of the call. It is Access MDE executable.
Our two mgr computers stopped linking to sales computer's table. We have
the same setup at another client and it works. THe system has worked here
for 30 days and now won't link up.
We have upgraded the software and manipulated the database several times in
the last couple weeks but we did the same to the other setup at the other
client and it continues to work.
We also adjusted the USER settings (I didn't, the IT guy at the client did,
and apparently set User setting to one User).
Yesterday, we checked to see if Files wee SHared and the computer's network
addresses were correct. THey were, I believe.
Bob is our primary guy but is not well versed in networking (847) 636-9004
Mark is the dealership IT guy who seems to know networks (630) 973-0905
I am Norm and I know the least 708-359-7599.
PLEASE HELP!
We keep getting a Cannot Link to Database error on the MGR. terminals.
