Tables not breaking across page

I am working in Word 2000 and have a table with a row that
is not breaking across pages. When I type text in the
table and am close to the end of the table, the text
disappears and does not show up on the next page. I
checked to see if the "allow row to break across page" was
checked and it wasn't but the box was greyed out and
doesn't allow me to check it. Or in another area, it
isn't greyed out and when I put a check in the box, it
still doesn't break the row across the pages. When I view
the document in "normal view" I can see all of the text
that I wrote, but when I view the document in print
layout, I cannot see the text that I wrote at the bottom
(and therefore it doesn't print out).

Quite frustrating, please help!

The most likely problem is that you have inadvertently "wrapped" your table,
and a wrapped object (with some bizarre exceptions in Word 2002 and above)
cannot extend beyond one page. On the Table tab of Table Properties, make
sure that wrapping is set to None.

Thanks Suzanne, but wrapping has always been set to none
so that's not the solution...have any other ideas??

I'm sure it has something to do with the "allow rows to
break across pages" but for some reason, it's greyed out
for two rows in my table and will not let me "check" them.

Still trying to figure it out...
