Tables

I thought I knew a bit about MS Word but here I am stuck.

A client has sent me a word document saved in rtf format. (The same problem
exists in .doc). It has a number of tables. In A4 paper size all is okay
but she wants me to edit it to fit US Letter size. This can only be done by
reducing the height of the tables - adjusting some but not all cell heights.

I am having the same problem she had. We can't change the height of the rows
or alter the height of the table. When resting a curser over a line and it
changes to the two arrows etc, the outline shows and moves witht he curser
but one can't drag the line. We can change the width of columns by dragging
and the width of the table using the little square that shows at the bottom
right. But we have no means of altering any heights.

There are no fixed parameters - cell height etc.

Can anyone help?

TIA

Are you saying that you can't drag the little box "up". Perhaps
Selecting the table and specifying "Distribute Rows Evenly" first. Then
drag the "little box in the lower right" up.

Thanks, Bob.

It did the trick, but why it should, I don't know!

Best wishes,

I presume because it forces all the rows to allow resizing. Glad to hear
it fixed your issue.
