OVERVIEW
=========
1) THREE months ago Powerpoint worked perfectly. No known issues for me.
2) There are no checkpoints available from that time to restore to.
Take a Powerpoint slide THREE months ago.
Place an automatically running midi file on the page.
When the slide is shown the midi file EXECUTES and programs a midi
device (some live audio equipment)
SUCCESS! (as one would expect.)
Place a SECOND automatically running midi file on the slide
When the slide is shown the FIRST midi file executes and programs a midi
device
The second now FAILS to run - it never used to! (P.S. I need two files
due to a timing issue with Win media player.)
Solution:
Custom animation, apply time delay to second midi file starting.
ENSURE that first midi has enough time to fully play otherwise
PowerPoint IGNORES IT.
Problem
TABLET PC: an extra click.
Two sounds will play on a slide but: if a slide contains TWO sounds and
the user clicks to a link with a slide containing two more,
the new slide appears and the first sound plays, the second sound on the
new slide doesn't execute
until the user left clicks. (the slide doesn't change).
Why the extra click? Works fine on XP.
