tabs and left indent

I use Word 2000 at home; at work I have Word 2003 SP2. At home I can
go to Tools, Options, and uncheck "Tabs and backspace set left
indent". At work there is no such check box.

Using styles would be one workaround, but the vast majority of my work
is not done from a template.

In Word 97 and 2000, click on Tools | Options | Edit | check or uncheck
the "Tabs and backspace set left indent" box | OK.

In Word 2002 and 2003, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options | AutoFormat
As You Type | check or uncheck the "Set left- and first-indent with tabs
and backspaces" box | OK.
