I have modified TOC styles 1-4 and added them to a
template. They are all based on 'normal.' The styles have
hanging indents and one tab that right justifies the page
numbers. When I update the entire TOC, other tabs are
being set. This is interfering with the alignment.
Shorter headings (i.e. acronyms) are directly affected.
Their page numbers are not justifying.
I selected the TOC, chose Format/Tabs and no tabs were
listed. I have gone through the styles
Format/Style/Modify/Tabs as well as /Paragraph to check
the indentation. Only the tab to right justify appears.
I am able to manually remove the tabs and that fixes the
problem until the entire table is updated. Then the
problem returns.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thank you.
