Tabs to label rather than to value

I am using Access 2003 and have a form which has a Yes/No field. When I tab
through the table entering data, Access tabs to the label rather than to
Yes/No.

I have several Yes/No fields in my form and the tab always goes to the
Yes/No input rather than the label.

How can I get the form to tab on Yes/No rather than on the label?

When I tab "into" a yes/no control on a form, it is the checkbox itself that
is "active". That is, I can 'click' the spacebar and cause a checkmark to
appear (or disappear) in that checkbox.

What you are seeing may be the highlighting that accompanies where the focus
is being set.

How can I reset the focus so that I can use my mouse to place a check in the
box rather than having to use the spacebar.

If you are using your mouse, I believe you can just use your mouse and
"click" on the checkbox.

Yes what you say works, but as a new user of Microsoft Access, I would like
to learn as much as I can. When all of the other controls work so that the
focus is on the input rather than on the label and this one works just the
opposite, I would really like to know why and how to make it conform to the
other fields in my database. Is there no way to make Access focus on the
input rather than on the label?

I believe that Access DOES focus on the checkbox. Perhaps it's the
highlighting of the label that makes it seem like it's focusing on the
label?
