tabs within page

Is there any way to set tabs within a page (as in Word/Format/Tabs). I am
placing tables from the internet, Word and Dreamweaverand they are coming out
gobledegook! Take care, David

You can't set Tab stops, but you can resize columns for data which was
previously typed into tabbed columns.

Select the text after the oclumn you want to resuze, right-click on the
selection box (the 4-headed arrow on the left of the paragraph) and select
"Resize Previous Paragraph".

David, if misery loves company, please know that I am 100% sympathetic.
Erik's advice is certainly better than nothing, but my, oh, my what a kludge!
I have high hopes for improvements in SP2.
