I have a 1:m form using 2007. In the subform part of the form I would like
for it to look like a spreadsheet. A datasheet view seems a good choice and
I like its looks and functionality; you can sort and filter the rows easily
etc. However, at the present I am using a tabular style instead. This is
because, in a tabular style, I have figured out how to get a subtotal on a
column in the form that contains an expression. I have not been able to
figure out how to do this with the datasheet; not for an expression.
Is there a general consensus on what works best for child subforms, that is,
DataSheet versus Tabular. The tablular has too much spacing and I don't see
how to filter or sort the columns as easily as a DataSheet. On the other
hand, the DataSheet doesn't to subtotals easily for expressions.
Any suggestions or can someone point me to a white paper that might talk
about this?
