Tagging Items w/ Pen in ON2007

In ON2003, you could select a line of handwriting and flag it, using just
the pen. There was a sort of a handle which appeared in the left margin,
when you hovered over it with the pen.

In 2007, I can't find that handle, and I can't find any way to select a line
using just the pen, while still in pen mode.

I know I could switch to cursor mode, but I would prefer not having to do
so. It's difficult for me to believe that there is no way to more easily do
this in 2007.

Try using your right click button. Right click and hold while you circle the
item. This might give you a lasso tool (make certain your right click button
is enabled). If it works, then you can just hit the tag you want from the
"tags" toolbar.

I am still hoping there's a way to do it the 2003 way, though.
