tags on saved word documents

I just got a new laptop. When I save word docs, the fle
name is accompanyied by the file size and "word document."
I want to get rid of all that and only have the file name
showing on a saved doc. What do I do?

All files are stored according to the requirements of the operating system.
The *view* of the file information is controlled according to where you view
it. If you mean in the file > open window then by clicking the Explorer icon
top right, you can change the view to whatever suits you. The filename
extension *.doc will be displayed or not according to the preferences set in
Windows Explorer. (Hide/display extensions of known file types). Personally
I prefer to see for myself what the files are. The more information the
better.
