Taking notes for Recurring Appointments

Wonder what the best way is to create notes for recurring appointments.

For the first occurence, everything works great. From the appointment
in Outlook, I transfer the appointment info to OneNote. OneNote now has
all the info about the meeting on a new page formatted via a template.

On the next occurence, when I attempt to do the same thing, I'm brought
to the same OneNote page. I was hoping it would create a new entry with
the new dates, and a blank notes section.

Is there something I'm missing? Maybe a better way (or the right way)
to do this?

Thanks

ON2003 or the 2007 beta?

How are you attempting to create the second page for the second
occurrence of the meeting?

Are you copying the ON page from the first occurrence? That will copy
everything from the template, including the values of any text fields
already present. If you want to reuse a template, you can recreate the
template with the date field blank, and then use Insert | Date and Time
(or alt-shift-d for just the date).

Are you re-grabbing the info from Outlook (Insert menu | Outlook Meeting
Details...)? If you do that and always navigate to "today's" instance of
the meeting, it should always pick up today's information. This is
helpful also in recording in ON if a particular instance of a meeting is
different (i.e. it's always in conference room 1 but this week it is in
CR2, or Joe can't make it this week and has declined but will be there
next week).

2007 Beta.

What I'm doing is opening the recurring appt in Outlook, and clicking
on the send to OneNote icon. the problem I'm having is that the other
occurrences go back to the same note.

I'll try to add the note via "insert" as you outline below to see if
that fixes the problem.

thanks

You should log a bug on that. It's clearly not too useful as it's
implemented in this Beta version.
