In the Access 2007 Package Solutions Wizard, you can add registry values;
however, the instructions on the Wizard skip over that part of it entirely.
How do you assign a value to a key that is based on the target directory of
the application?
If the user never changes the default target, you can just type in the
target directory string (ie, C:\MyProgram); however, one cannot count on
that. I have tried the old variable $(AppPath) as well as some Windows
Installer values ([TARGETDIR], [EXEDIR], [ROOTFOLDER]) all to no avail.
[TARGETDIR] returns "C:\", and the others return nothing.
