Task actuals don't show in PA

Hi there,

Here's my problem: actual work protected of one specific task doesn't show
in PA. It's in the project, it's also in the resources adjust actuals and
assignements views. All other tasks in this project (and all the other
projects) DO show up.

Suggestions anybody?

Hi
first of all, check if the assignment values expected are in the
MSP_VIEW_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY table (if thats the full name, havent got it
handy to reference). Assignment day values are populated here during
publish.

If they are not in this table then OLAP will not pick them up as this
is the starting point for aggregating the Assignment work values.

Check when publishing that the XML file for the project is being
deployed to and processed from the Viewdrop folder C:\Program
Files\micro......sever 2003\bin\viewdrop. if the XML isnt appearing
then the project is having a serious problem.

I encountered the same issue (sometimes one task, sometimes one whole
project). Unfortunately i am yet to find a working way of resolving
this that doesnt involve reimporting the file. I did however notice
that one project was resolved by removing all actuals data, then
synching to protected and publishing again. However, the problem
reappeared later.

If import is the only way, save the mpp out, turn MTP off, delete the
original, reimport the file, republish (overwriting timesheet actuals)
to recreate teh AWP values, and then reapply MTP.

unless someone else has resolved this issue another way :)
ps - i am not yet SP2a.... what SP are you operating on?.
