There is a way to integrate Outlook 2007 with Project Server 2007. It works
quite nicely. However, there is one hurdle I have encountered; Tasks go into
Outlook well with the integration but they don't get removed from Outlook
with the integration.
Scenario: Should a task on the project be reassigned to someone else
(http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/project/HA101485901033.aspx?pid=CH100667251033)
or deleted altogether, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the
corresponding task (the one that no longer applies to the outlook calendar)
removed from the Outlook calendar/task list.
I have to believe that someone thought this integration through better than
to leave off the kind of functionality that would clean up the tasks too.
Perhaps there is a Project Server 2007 integration with Exchange Server that
does a better job?
Please advise
