Task Button Grayed Out in OneNote 2007

I am running OneNote 2007 and Outlook 2007 in Windows Vista Home Premium.

In OneNote, the Insert Synced Outlook Task button (the flag icon) on my tool
bar is grayed out and non-functional. The same applies to the Insert -->
Outlook Task menu item; the entire Outlook Task menu is grayed out.

Two days ago, these buttons and menu items were not grayed out and were
fully functional. I'm not sure what could have changed between then and now
to remove this functionalty. Does anyone have any suggestions, or
encountered this same problem?

Thank you for any help you can give me!

You may have tried this already, but is this still the case after rebooting
your machine?

I talked to some folks on the team about this, and it is a possible doing a
Repair of your Office/OneNote installation could fix this. Please let me
know either way, thanks!

I am 90% sure that you have to have the same version of Outlook as
your OneNote (i.e., 2007) in order to have that level of inter-
operability.

I encountered the same problem. Rebooted, repaired, reinstalled and had same
problem. Finally solved it by: 1) Click on Toolbar Options (the down arrow);
2) Point to Add or Remove Buttons; 3) Point to Standard; 4) click on Reset
Toolbar.

Hope it works for you.
