Task completed early

I have completed a task earlier than planned, and I would like to reschedule
the dependant tasks based on this. How do I do that? I changed the PERCENT
COMPLETE to 100% and none of my leveling changed.

Hi,

%complete 100? you tell Project "executed as planned".
Change the finish date to the actual finish.

So I need to adjust the Start date on the next task? I would think that
Project would know to do this if the previous task was completed.

Example:

Task 1 1pm - 4pm
Task 2 8am - 9am

If Task 1 was finished at 3pm, then Task 2 should start at 3pm and complete
at 4pm.

That is what I am trying to do. If I adjust the start date, how does Project
know what time?

Hi,

First I always appreciate when people read what I write.
Never did I write you had to set start dates; you have to tell Project what
were the dates (namely finish) of the finished task. How on earth would
Project know when you completed it???
And you enter time of day simply like this:
8/4/8 13:56

If you want to show time of day on all dates Tools, Options, View, Date
foiemat../. select the top one of the list.

Sorry, I was just trying to further express what I was trying to do while
