Task dependency brainteaser

Let's say I don't know how long a task is, but I want it kicked off b
the completion of one task and ended by the starting of another.

For example, let's say I have "Task 1" from Jan 1-Jan 31 and "Task 2
from Mar 1-Mar 30.

I'd like a task: "Lie on the beach" that lasts during the complet
period between the two tasks.

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

(Obviously this is a more interesting version of my actual wor
question...
