task duration is affected after I add a resource

I'm an experienced VB programmer, but I'm new to MS-Project. I don't
know why the task duration changes after I modify the task's
resource-list. The task start time jumps from 08:00 to 13:00 and I
can't understand the reason. At the beginning I thought it has
something to do with calendars, but the resource doesn't use any
special calendar. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

Programming VBA on Project whilst not knowing project is as safe as start
taming a lion when you are a specialist on whips but never worked with
beasts...

Better learn a lot about the beast first.
It has many more tricks than just changing the duration.
