Task Finish Date Value as a Custom Field in Project Center

We use Project Server 2007 and would like to display a specific task date as
it’s own custom field in Project Center based on value in individual project
schedules.

For example, I have a standard Task Name, “Installation Dateâ€, whose finish
date can vary with each project. My hope was to be able to display this
task’s date as a new custom field. I have been unsuccessful creating a
formula that will display this value.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There is simply no easy way to accomplish what you need, as you have already
discovered. Given this fact, wouldn't it be easy to make the custom Project
field a free-entry field, and require that the PM manually enter a date in
that field? Hope this helps.

Yes, it is easy enough. The biggest drawback to this free-entry field is if
the date gets changed in the project schedule having the PM remember to
update it in a separate field.

Yup, agreed.
