I am new to MSP 2003 Standard

Can someone explain how I do the following:-

I have a task that runs over an elapsed time of 6 weeks but the actual work
lasts for
8 non contiguous days.

Its like scheduling a fortnightly meeting over a 6 month period.

Hi Tom,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

Try Insert/Recurring Task. Fill in the details as best you can and set the
periodicity of the 8 non-consecutive days to the most common - say Weekly,
every Monday and OK. Then click the little + sign next to the Recurring
Task's name to expand the details. Now you can adjust each one to meet your
planned days.

Alternatively, set your task at 6 weeks, assign your resource and then in
the Resource Usage view, amend the work requirements to suit the planned
days.
