I am using MSOP 2007. I would like to get the following output to Excel via
a MACRO:

Name % Complete Start Finish Pred. Resource
Project XYZ 0% 2/6/2008 10/2/2008
Summary Task 1 0% 2/6/2008 9/30/2008
Sub Task 1A 0% 2/6/2008 9/16/2008 Resource 1
Sub Task 1B 0% 9/17/2008 9/30/2008 3 Resource 2
Summary Task 2 0% 10/1/2008 10/2/2008
Sub Task 2A 0% 10/1/2008 10/1/2008 4 Resource 2
Sub Task 2B 0% 10/2/2008 10/2/2008 6 Resource 2

Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

Try File, Save as then select file type of Excel

A wizard will start when you save that will guide you into choosing what
data you wish to export.

Hi Rod,
I have already tried this and it does not allow me to keep the heirarchy of
the tasks. I have tired Jack Dahlgren's macro and it doesn line everything
up on one line and would take extensive clean up to get the format as I need
it.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,

Hi Jan,
I am using 2007. If I were using 2003 I could simply export to html and
open in excel. The file save as html worked perfect for this kind of report
(each task was on a single line and the task heirarchy was preserved) in the
older versions. However, MSOP 2007 no longer supports this format.
Any ideas on how to do this?
Thanks,
CB

Hi,

So you knew the HTML trick! Good!

Ideas? First, I am told xml replaces html. Don't know anything about xml,
that is absolutely nothing, but could it be a track?

The other alternative I see is to program it, whether in Excel after an
export or during export if you export task by task in VBA.

Sorry, I cna't do any better than that..
