Hello,

We're creating a custom field, task entity, number type. We create a
formula, its simply [work]. It displays fine in Project Pro, but in a
PWA view its always blank.

We've tried everything we know to try and it never works. Can someone
explain to me why it works this way and maybe if there is a work
around? Thanks.

Probably trivial and insulting, but did you publish the project and
opening in the Project Pro, so that the fields are filled?

Cheers,

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

This is an enterprise level custom field. We created it directly from
Project Web Access, sever settings. We're trying to use it in a
Project View, so on the Project Details page when drilling into a
project. Happens on any projects, and yes all are published.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Robert:

What updates have you installed in the system?
Any errors in the logs? Application, ULS
Do other fields created before this one work?
Have you tried this using a text field?

Gary,

I have up to the Infrastructure Update, so it's current. No errors in
the logs, event logs or ULS logs. I have created a task level text
type custom field, with [work] in the formula, and it is blank in a
project details view. Same with a number type. Can you repro this on
your side?
