task list not working in to do bar

Louie

The to do bar displays the calendar and the appointments but for the Tasks it
displays an error message, "The operation failed. An Object could not be
found."
I have upgraded from office 2000 to 2007.

I get the same thing from when I upgraded from 2003 to 2007! Help.
Diagnostics says all is well. But it isn't.

Louie/Harry,

Ditto here. This feature worked well in 2003 version but I have not been
successful in getting tasks to appear in the to-do list of the calendar
section. I will keep trying, let me know if you have any revelations.

Try the following;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resettodobar

Louie,

Try this. Click on file, click on data file management. You will see that
you have 2 pst files. One should be marked default, delete the other
duplicate pst file. Restart outlook and you shold have a functioning tasks
list in the to do bar.

handydc, that's a good tip.
I tried Roady's tip first, no change, then after deleting the duplicate PST
file, the "To Do" bar tasks still wouldn't work.
Then I did your tip, no change. After I did your tip, I also did Roady's tip
again of: Start-> Run; outlook.exe /resettodobar

....and both together did the trick.
It's all working now.
