Task Names Disappear

Hi,

We are using MSP Pro 2003 with SP2 and tried SP3 to see if can address the
following problem with no luck so far. On several occaisions a couple of our
users have experienced the same problem--the Task Names have disappeared
while working on the file. Collapsing the project or summary rows does NOT
refresh and make the task names reappear.

Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

If you click on the Task Name cell, is the text still in the formula bar? If
yes, there may be a white text color on white background problem. Check Text
styles as well as the font.

No. The text is completely gone. I think Trevor has the answer. I
suspected it may be that the files were on LAN drive.

Thanks very much Trevor! I think you are right.

This happens because you are on a network and your project file is stored on
a HDD on the network rather than local HDD, and your pc loses network
connection, perhaps just momentarily, while you have the file open.
Best to copy the file to the local HDD, work on it and then put it back on
the network.
Also, save each day's version every day, both as a backup and so that you
save the history of the planning.
