Task not being shown in the Task Center

I have added several users/resources to the Resource Center. Most of them
are able to view their tasks in the Task Center. I have a few that are
unable to view any tasks and also when another team member goes to pull up a
resource to reassignment, their name does not show up in the pull down menu.
Those few resources are populated in the Resource Center and show up
everywhere else. Can someone help me?

Are you referring to PS 2007? If so, then the reason some resources tasks
aren't showing up in the My Tasks could be because they are not set as their
own "Default Assignment Owner" so the assignments are sitting in the "My
Tasks" page of the person who created the assignments in Project
Professional.

Yes, I am referring to PS2007.

We've just figured that whenever new resources are added, we have to go back
to the client MSProject and activate these users from local to Enterprise.
Then, it seems that they show up under the resources in Project Web Access
for others to be able to reassign them......

the project manager is getting these approvals. once he/she approves them,
then they are being released to that enterprise pool....

is there a way to change that approval process so that the project manager
then does not receive those approvals and they come directly to me?

thanks

Not sure what you mean by approvals. If you mean task update approvals then
you can change the "Status Manager" on all tasks in all projects to yourself
so you will receive all task updates from resources.

However, I think you are referring to something else. Obviously, if your
PMs are creating resources locally on their schedules rather than using the
"Build Team from Enterprise" option, they will not be enterprise resources.
On each save, if a local resource name is found by the system to match an
enterprise resource name, it will prompt the PM to either rename the local
resource or allow the system to replace the local resource with the
enterprise resource.

OK...I did the Build Team from Enterprise Option. I saw his name on the
Enterprise Resource side but not on the Project Resource side.

I then added this resource to the project resource and saved and closed out
the project schedule in MSProject.

This new resource still does not show up in PWA as a resource that another
team member can reassign tasks to. Moreover, MSProject is now not allowing
me to view the project schedule as read/write, but as read only and on the
status shows me that i have checkin pending. How do i resolve that?
