I absolutely hate the fact that I cannot keep Task Pane
open after Excel starts up. This built in "upgrade" in XP
is a downgrade in my view.

Any way to prevent this? Is Microsoft working on some
kind of switch that will allow a choice of keeping it
shown after you start Excel (or Word for that matter)?
