Task Percentage Change

Hi,
Some tasks are changed from 100% complete to incomplete (various
levels of percentages) and the durations extended to 300+ days which
in turn pushes the whole of the schedule out. I then have to manually
change the durations and %Complete to what they should be.

any ideas why this would happen?
