I have a project that contains one resource. Task updates are working as
designed. Update tasks on the web, approving updates in Project Pro.
When I ‘Request Progress Information…’ from that resource in Project Pro, I
get the envelope with the question mark. Publish, save, and Check in work
fine. My Tasks reflect the request from the manager.
Now, if something actually changes in the task and it is submitted, all
works fine. However, there are times when actually nothing happens. I
select the Task, click Submit Updates and enter a message in the dialog box
and click OK. It states that the changes have been committed, yet the Task
Updates page states that ‘There are no new updates to review at this time.’
Project Pro does not indicate a Task update either. Will this only work if
something actually changes in the task?
