How do I update progress in project web access 2007 without updating %
complete in MSP 2007. In MSP 2003 I used to perform the following and it
worked. Please see my steps below:
On the workstation perform the following steps to ensure that the tracking
method is correctly set: > 1.Open MS Project 2003 on the workstation, >
2.Click on Tools, Options > 3.Select the Calculation tab and deselect the
“Updating task status updates resource status†option > 4.Click on the “Set
as Default†button > 5.Click on the “OK†Button > 6.Close MSP – This will
save the correct Global.mpt file to the current workstation so that this
option will now be correct for all schedules moving forward. > The updates in
PWA 2003 will not update % complete but only the % work complete and the
project manager can then still update the progress manually in project
schedule.

PLEASE NOTE: This process has to be followed for every schedule that has
already been loaded onto EPM. As such each schedule will have to be opened by
the project manager, the option set as described above, and the schedule
saved.
