Task Recurrence button disabled - Outlook 2003

All of the sudden, my "recurrence" option is disabled on my Outlook tasks. I
see the button and option under Tools, but they are grayed out. It used to
work before. Any idea why would this happen?

No, I did not get any responses, so if you found the cure, I'd love to hear
it!

The fix is to rename to ".old" the outcmd.dat and extend.dat while Outlook is
closed, start Outlook and it will recreate these files. This resets the
toolbars and your Recurrence... button should be available again. It worked
for me! Chris

PS. these files were located in c:\Documents and
Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook on my XP Pro computer.

Is there any more info about this problem. I just had it happen to me as
well. Tried what you guys tried. Got my button back, but it is still greyed
out. I'm using Windows XP, not XP pro.
