Task synchronization issue between Server & PWA

desktop: MS Project Professional 2002 SP-1
server: MS Project Server 2003 SP-1

Background: Project Owner had set a Task to 100% Work Complete, saved
project and published to web. In PWA, Resource's timesheet still showed Task
as 0% Work Complete and 947 Remaining Hours. Only one Resource had been
assigned to the Task.

Troubleshoot task synchronization issue: In order to confirm that the
project had been published to the web, we republished. First, with method
"New and Changed Assignments" (no changes were shown to be published) and
then with method "Project Plan". Task still shows 0% Work Complete and 947
Remaining Hours.

Advice is welcomed. Thank you in advance.

When the project manager manually enters actuals into the Microsoft Project
plan, he/she must do the following:

1. Open the project in question and select the task that he/she manually
updated
2. Click Collaborate - Publish - Republish Assignments
3. At the top of the dialog, click the "Republish assignments for" pick
list and choose the "Selected items" option
4. Select the "Overwrite actual work entered by resources" option at the
bottom of the dialog
5. Click the OK button

The above steps will "push" the actuals from the Microsoft Project plan to
the user's timesheet in PWA. Hope this helps.

Dale,

Thank you for your response.

Lesson Learned: "I set the Task to 100% Complete but I forgot to publish
the schedule change."

Conclusion/Reminder: any and all schedule changes must be published to PWA
to allow for synchronization with Project Server.
