Task Undo Causes Project to Ignore Constraints

We have Project Pro 2007 and Project Server 2007 SP1. When making changes to
a task, predecesor changes as expected on a project from the client. If I
undo the change, and make another change to that task, it ignores all of the
predecessors. I need to exit and open again to get the predecessors to work.
Is there some reason for this behavior? Any advice would be appreciated.
