Thank you for your quick responses.
The reason behinde customizing the "task updates" page (well now its a wish)
is that
as a PM I want to see the work hours that were actually planned against an
assignemnt, while I am approving timesheet of that task. (We are using "My
task" not Time sheet).
The Scenario is:
I planed a task "Test Task" with estimated time of "8h" and assigned it to
resource "TM1".
"TM1" performed that task and submit me a time sheet of 12h.
Now, While updating his time sheet of 12h in "Task Updates" Page, I want to
see the planned hours against "Test Task". (Without opening the project in
project pro or opening any other view at PWA) So that I could ask from
resource the reason of exceeded time (is it entered by mistake or he actually
has taken this much time) This way I can avoid any wrong updates reflecting
into the project plan.
The Bad thing in PWA for all this is that, If you exceeds "Actual Hours"
from planned work, the "Work" field also increased same as "Actual Work" .
and one completly lost with Planned hors for that specific assignment.
So now my prolem is who can i avoid possible mistakes of wrong time sheet
entered by resources from being reflected into project plan.
