In the Task Update view...in the time phased portion, what do the red numbers
define? In particular, in the Actual work row? Is this the actual work
resources submitted in their task sheets?

Yes, the red numbers indicate Actual Work submitted by a team member. You
can also click on the name of the task update to see more information about
what the team member submitted in the update. Hope this helps.
