Task Updates not showing on Approvals page

Project Server 2007, SP1.

I have one user that is getting notified on his PWA homepage that
there are 5 task updates awaiting his approval. When he clicks on the
link, it takes him to the Approvals page, but no tasks are displayed
(no grid saying "No updates to review", either. Just a blank screen
under the menu bar). Anybody seen this before? As far as I know, he
is the only user experiencing this issue (it works fine for me and one
other PM I checked with).

Thanks in advance,
Jim

Jim --

Is it possible the PM in question has somehow, accidentially or
intentionally, deleted the Task Update Requests web part on the Task Updates
page? That would explain why it is totally blank. Let us know what you
find.

Thanks Dale,

No I tried having him remove and re-add the Update Task Requests
webpart, but no luck. I'm wondering if the tasks may be corrupted or
if they were approved but the system is "hung" halfway or something.
Didn't see anything in the queue that looks relevant.

Jim, one thing we noticed after implementing 07 and having this same issue,
is that the approval manager needs to select fewer tasks to approve.
Apparently MSP 2007 doesn't like lots of tasks to approve. We have since,
instructed our PM's to select either 1 project or smaller chunks of tasks to
approve. I think this issue may be resolved with the Hot Fix coming out
later this month.
Good Luck!

Jim,

We've seen this from time-to-time as well. It typically happens when
there's a mix-up on the status manager field - or the status manager field
changes. For example, if I am the initial status manager, someone submits
updates, but then goes and changes the status manager to another person and
republishes the plan, there can be confusion as to where the update sits.

Try this:
Remove just the published version of the plan through the Admin functions.
Open the plan in pro and double check the status manager field. Republish
the plan (from Pro). You may find tht those 5 "awaiting approval" messages
disappear completely.
