task updates

my project users and managers cannot update task info (time worked,
%complete, hours etc). What did I do and how do I undo it?

You are going to need to give us more information before any of us can help
you. For example, have team members EVER been able to enter and submit
actuals? Have project managers EVER been able to update task updates into
their project plans? And what specific behaviors are each of these groups
seeing in PWA? Let us know.

Yes they were able to, this is a new implimentation of Project server. I
posted a test project, and could adjust actuals. (p.s. i am an administrator)
now It will not allow any changes. no error, it just won't even let me type
in those fields. I don't know what changes were made as we had a contractor
working on this.

You must use the Hour of work done per day or per week method of tracking in
Project Server to be able to use the Adjust Actual feature. Beyond this, I
think your contractor needs to supply you with a list of changes he/she made
to your system. Without knowing what changes were made, we're just
"shooting in the dark" trying to solve your problem. Hope this helps.
