Task Usage View

I'm trying to create a task usage view that would allow me to filter on
specific resources so that they can easily see what they have upcoming over
the next few weeks. I was able to create a filter that shows the tasks
assigned to the selected resource(s) along with the assignment info for the
resource(s).

What I cannot figure out is how to also have that filtered view show the
other resources that may also be assigned to the task. For example, I want
to filter for tasks where John Doe is assigned which might include tasks
where John is not the only resource assigned to the task. What I would like
to do is show all the tasks to which John is assigned, but show all of the
resources assigned to each of those tasks.

Does anyone know of a way to create this type of a filter/view?

Michele,
Your best bet is to use the Gantt Chart view instead of the Task Usage
view. The Task Usage view separates resource assignments into individual
lines so filtering on one assignment will only show that resource. On
the other hand, the Gantt Chart view shows all resources assigned to a
task in the Resource Names field. If you filter for a particular
resource in that field, the task will be displayed by the filter. Since
the Resource Names field shows all resources, everyone will be shown.

Hope this helps.

Michele,

To add to what John said - You could then create a split view with the
resource usage view shown at the bottom.

View / More views / new
select combination view
Top - select the gannt chart view
Bottom - select the resource usage view

Hope this helps
